CalCal, a calendar app for iPhone and iPad, released version 3.1.0 on the App Store on October 19, 2026. Following version 3.0.0, its first major update in about two and a half years (October 12), CalCal now supports iPhone Duo, which goes on sale October 23, and its buttons have a new Liquid Glass design.

About CalCal

CalCal is the best calendar for people with packed schedules: a scroll-based month calendar. Each week in the month view scrolls on its own, and when you reach the last event, just keep scrolling and that week pops open inside the month calendar. CalCal uses the built-in iPhone calendar data, so you can start right away.

iPhone Duo: open, folded, or closed

• Unfold it and turn it sideways, and the day's events appear to the right of the month calendar
• Tap a date or an event and only the right side changes, so you can read the details while the whole month stays in view
• Fold it halfway upright, and the calendar sits on top with the day's events below
• Close it, and the outer screen picks up on the same day

iPad and Liquid Glass

Turn iPad sideways, and the day's events and details appear to the right of the calendar. Hide that list to give the calendar the full width. The bottom buttons and the Today button use the Liquid Glass design.

Pop-open UI: busy weeks, without leaving the month calendar

• Every week scrolls on its own. A crowded day never gets cut off, and you do not need to open each day.
• Keep scrolling, and the week expands. At the last event, just keep scrolling. That week opens up inside the month. No new gesture to learn. Scroll the same way to close it.
• See the week without losing the month. The weeks around it stay in view.
